Equal Earth World Map: A New Perspective on the World – Fairer and More Beautiful

Rediscover the true proportions of our planet with the Equal Earth World Map, a contemporary cartographic approach developed in 2018 to address the visual distortions found in traditional world maps. Unlike conventional world map projections, Equal Earth preserves the true relative sizes of continents and land areas, offering a more accurate and balanced view of our world.

For decades, some regions have appeared exaggerated while others have been significantly reduced. Africa looked smaller than it really is, South America was underrepresented, and Greenland appeared vastly oversized. With the Equal Earth projection, these distortions are corrected. Every territory is shown in its proper proportion, without arbitrary visual hierarchy or distortion of land areas.

Beyond its scientific accuracy, the Equal Earth projection stands out for its soft, harmonious aesthetic. Its elegant curves are reminiscent of classic world map designs, while benefiting from modern cartographic precision. The result is a world map that is accurate, balanced and visually appealing.

Designed to complement both contemporary interiors and professional workspaces, this world map is more than just a decorative feature: it is a statement of a more balanced view of the world. It represents a more thoughtful approach to geography, where the way we see our planet reflects geographical reality rather than inherited historical distortions.

Whether displayed on your wall or in your office, choose a world map that does more than simply look beautiful.
