Ordering & Delivery

We don’t keep stock: every map is made to order. This gives us more choice of models, sizes and materials, keeps the maps up to date and helps reduce waste. Please note that a production period takes place before shipment.

What are the delivery times?

UK :

  • Posters (tarpaulin / photo paper): 5–7 working days
  • Acrylic / self-adhesive versions: 5–10 working days

We carefully package your order in reinforced packaging to protect the map. You will receive an order confirmation email with an estimated delivery date and a tracking SMS from the carrier to manage home delivery or collection at a pickup point.
Yes — we deliver across Europe and internationally. If your country is not listed at checkout, please contact us and we’ll assist.
Yes, provided the order has not yet been dispatched. Contact us as soon as possible at contact@originalmap.co.uk with your order number.
Please contact us immediately on receipt with photos of the packaging and the map. Damages are rare, and we will arrange reprinting or a solution where appropriate.

Yes — our poster is not ordinary paper: it’s a flexible, durable PVC layer that is highly resistant to tearing.
The adhesive variant is durable, washable and easy to mount. You don’t have to stick it immediately — you can use pins or double-sided pads first, or keep it for a later DIY project (e.g. mounting on a panel).

Yes — gently wipe with a soft, damp cloth or sponge (no harsh chemicals).

Most finishes are matte to reduce reflections. The acrylic/plexiglass option has a slight glossy/mirror effect for a premium look.

We strive for faithful colour reproduction, but slight variations can occur due to different screen settings. In reality, prints often look a little more contrasted.

Yes — our high-definition printing is designed to be long-lasting without premature fading.

Absolutely — we use official sources and update our maps regularly to reflect geopolitical changes.

Yes — customisation is available on selected models. For bespoke requests, email contact@originalmap.co.uk for a quote.

Installation & Care

Several options:

  • Turn it into a framed panel (DIY)
  • Use pins or upholstery tacks
  • Use double-sided mounting pads or adhesive strips

Not yet. We recommend a professional framer for the best result.
If you choose a laminated/plastic finish, you can use a dry-erase marker (whiteboard / Velleda type).
Wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Our materials are chosen for easy maintenance without damaging the print.

Yes — our maps are original and educational gifts for birthdays, trips, farewells, etc.

Not at the moment. Packaging is neutral, elegant and suitable for gifting.

Yes — you have 14 days from receipt to return unused items in their original packaging. Contact us first so we can organise the return.
